I love the idea of macerated strawberries as well. Once spring comes around I will have to make this again - I think it would be wonderful topped with fresh fruit and ice cream.<BR/><BR/>Oh, and I definitely recommend an oven thermometer! Everything of mine was UNDERbaking and I couldn't figure out why. I bought one last week and found that my preheated alert is way off. Great call on the marbling. If I had been making it for myself and not my brother, I would have gone that route as well.<BR/><BR/>As for it being dry, as Michelle and I have found out, our ovens were off temp. Try a therm in your oven and see if its off. Mine was off my 50 degrees!
